India vs Pakistan: 3rd Test @ Banglore - Preview

The list of injured Indian players is growing and giving sleepless nights to the team management, esp. Venkatesh Prasad.

Not only bowler, but on Friday, Sachin Tendulkar aggravated a knee injury and is doubtful for the final Test match against Pakistan that starts on Saturday. Gambhir may take his position. Vice-captain Manhendra Singh Dhoni, too, is not fully fit but a final decision on the playing XI will be taken on Saturday morning.

Pakistan faced the similar situation in 2nd test, but finally saved the match.

India vs Pakistan - 2nd Test Preview

After loosing first test at Kotla, moral of the Pakistan team may not be very high because of the fitness problem in the Pakistani camp.

Misbah-ul-Haq was suffering through flu off-and-on through the Delhi Test, and did not take the field, but his condition has improved significantly and he was still able to bat through the illness.

Umar Gul, who did not make the eleven in the first Test, bowled at full steam in the nets and has recovered fully from a back niggle; he should be able to step in should Shoaib not be fit in time. The Pakistan management, not taking any chances, gave Mohammad Sami the day off.

On the flip side, Indian team are looking good their players fitness for the second test.

India vs Pakistan: 5th ODI Preview

ODI series is already decided but certainly, India would like to close the series with 4-1 to boost their moral further for the Test Series. It may be possible that either Sachin or Saurav may have to rest to give a way for the players on bench. Which is particularly good idea as India already won the series.

From the CricInfo:

The intensity question?
With the prize already won, was there a chance India's intensity would drop? Not according to Gambhir who said that "there wasn't any dearth of it [intensity] against Pakistan. You don't need to have extra motivation when you playing for the country. We want to win each and every match".

Misbah, however, felt that the Indians resting several senior players and not fielding their best combination would give Pakistan a "psychological advantage" and a win tomorrow would give them confidence ahead of the Tests.
